Project Ped-K is an exciting opportunity to promote Pre-K inPedK your own practice!  New York City offers FREE Pre-K, regarless of income. As a children's doctor, you can help spread the word!

 

 

 

Prescribe Pre-K to your Patients

Quality Pre-K is critical to healthy development.  However, many children miss out on this experience because of a lack of information and coordination.  You are in a unique position to prescribe this FREE and meaningful experience in to your patients.

We are committed to making this opportunity as simple as possible; we will give you the tools and support you need to make this a successful activity. 

 

Implement Project Ped-K Today!

  1. Learn more about New York's City's FREE Pre-K program by reading our brochure and read the Docs For Tots
    Project Ped-K Guidelines
  2. Hang a poster in your waiting room and make brochures available to families with preschool-aged children
  3. Take a moment during the visit to discuss early learning and brain development; use our prescription as a guide
  4. Direct families to call 888-469-5999 to speak to a parent counselor about Pre-K options and enrollment
  5. Advocate for High Quality Pre-K outside of your clinical walls as well!

This exciting project has the potential to reach many of New York City’s youngest children and impact their healthy development and school readiness in meaningful and lasting ways.   We hope you will join us in this important work.
