Recognizing Child Abuse and Neglect: Signs and Symptoms - The first step in helping abused or neglected children is learning to recognize the signs of child abuse and neglect. The presence of a single sign does not prove child abuse is occurring in a family, but a closer look at the situation may be warranted when these signs appear repeatedly or in combination.

Child Maltreatment 2004; U.S. Department of Health and Human Services - Presents key indicators on the extent of child maltreatment in the United States.

Family Violence Prevention Materials- Items available as PDFs or you may order print copies or CDs. Materials include posters, patient education safety cards, training tools, information packets, and policy papers and recommendations.

Domestic Violence Health Resource Center - The National Health Resource Center on Domestic Violence is the nation’s clearinghouse for information on the health care response to domestic violence and provides free technical assistance and materials to thousands of people each year. The Center is one of five specialized domestic violence resource centers in the country funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
