Dr. Dina Lieser, Director of Docs For Tots New York, was awarded a National Pre-K Now Champion Award for her efforts to increase access to and fundingfor quality pre-kindergarten. Representatives Steve Israel (D-NY), Gregory Meeks (D-NY), and Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) were on hand to present the award. Senator Hillary Clinton met with Dr. Lieser later in the afternoon. (7/19/07)
